This 2″ speed bag platform measures just over 23″ wide, comes with 8 bracket installation bolts and nuts/washers and 4 swivel installation bolts with nuts/washers. The CA-50 platform is well equipped to handle all your quick and heavy contact. Constructed from Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) of which is an engineered wood composite that is similar to particle board. Like particle board, MDF will soak up water and other liquids very easily. However, MDF is much denser and stronger than particle board due to the breaking down of hardwood or softwood residuals and then compacting them into wood fibers using a defibrator. Combining those fibers with wax and a resin binder, by applying high temperature and pressure results in MDF panels. This, makes MDF more durable, heavier, and the CA-50 able to withstand more of a punch.
